What is one interesting or notable fact about your department?
OMED is a nationally recognized office that has been written up in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, and The Washington Post.

Why do you think prospective students should attend Georgia Tech?
Georgia Tech is the top producer of women, minority, and total engineers in the nation. The education you get here is one of the most challenging and best in the nation. In addition, we have an outstanding network of alumni that includes outstanding politicians, corporate executives, professional athletes and entertainers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, educators, and so on. Tech’s also got a great location—it’s in the exciting city of Atlanta!

What words of encouragement do you have for prospective students?
With a Georgia Tech education and degree, you will be set for life. Though the educational environment is challenging, it is nothing that those accepted to Tech cannot do. There is a great deal of support here, including services like free tutoring from early morning to late night.
