Why Tech?
“I chose Georgia Tech because of its sterling engineering reputation and its perfect Midtown Atlanta location. Attending Tech meant that I could receive a top-notch education while having tons of fun participating in the buzzing social life of Atlanta.”

“Although classes can be somewhat tough, there is an abundance of fun activities to help you take your mind away from the academic challenges. These include social organizations, fraternities, sororities, football games, cookouts, pool parties, clubs, surrounding campuses, and the occasional dorm room party. It’s just a great place to be!”

“I chose Georgia Tech for many reasons—not only because it consistently ranks high in all of the major college rankings but also because it offers a technology-based education, even for liberal arts and business students. Once I came to Tech events like Family Affair and Welcome Weekend and met all of the cool people that I’d be interacting with, I knew that this was the place for me! No matter what your interests are, you can find something on campus that will be perfect for you both academically and socially.”

“I love this campus. The grounds are so pretty, especially when you consider the fact that it’s located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. I have many favorite things to do on campus. You can find me in the Student Center, relaxing between classes in the Music Listening Room, having a bite to eat in the Commons, or even bowling or shooting pool in Tech Rec.”

“Georgia Tech was always my first choice because of the education offered and summer opportunities in high school. I also liked the fact that I could receive a quality education in a metropolitan environment. Since I knew I did not want to leave the South, Georgia Tech was a natural fit.”

“There are so many things to do at Tech, from hanging out with friends to attending social events on campus. Every event gives away a T-shirt to students that attend, and I love collecting the free T-shirts.”
